Gnarli Budget

Gnarli Budget started as a tool I built for myself after years of using spreadsheets. I liked the control and clarity, but I got tired of repeating the same work every month. You can import transactions from CSV, TSV, or OFX files, create simple rules for categories, match transfers automatically, split purchases, track recurring bills, forecast future balances, and reconcile your accounts against bank statements. There is no bank feed/connection. You choose when to import your data, so your bank login is never shared. It also connects everyday budgeting to long-term planning. You can compare what you spend now with what you expect to spend later, estimate your Financial Independence number, project how savings and investments may grow, and track your progress over time. You can also share selected accounts with a partner or family member without sharing bank passwords. You make the decisions and set the assumptions. Gnarli Budget handles the calculations.
