Readly is a free speed reader that runs in your browser. Instead of your eyes travelling across the page, words arrive one at a time at a fixed point, with one letter highlighted so your eyes never have to move. You pick the pace, from 250 to 1200 words a minute, and punctuation adds natural pauses. Paste any text, drop a PDF or EPUB, or paste a link to an article. Files are parsed on your device and never uploaded; PDFs get their running headers and page numbers stripped, EPUBs keep their chapters so the reader can pause where the author did. No account and no install needed. Tap to play on a phone, Space on a laptop, step back a few words whenever something slips. A free account adds a library and picks up where you stopped, on any device. Beta 2.0 was built from what readers of the first beta asked for: PDF and EPUB support, tap-to-play instead of holding a button, and a focus letter that stays put. RSVP is not a trick for 1000 wpm; it works best at a pace you actually understand
